Eureka Moments

EUREKA MOMENTS

While Newton sat under a tree and Archimedes soaked in a bath tub, they both discovered the Eureka moment, setting the trend of an ‘outside the classroom’ experience. And they did not have any laptops…!#throwback

? the new learning desideratum ?

The true purpose of learning is to excite the learner, to engage her in a meaningful way and to empower her for life. With fast changing learning conundrums and faster changing roles of the teacher and the learner, the new learning shall be about creating an experience that prepares students for the ever-changing NOW. The seismic shift in learning shall reflect in the choices made by 21st century learners in a world of multitudinous offerings and endless opportunities, ensuing a true liberation of the human mind.

 Collaborative learning

‘The intersection of digital networks is generating a robust informal peer learning experience’, unique in its current state and likely to advance into an inimitable experience in the future. With an added advantage of the social media network, the experiential learning classrooms of the future shall be more about a co-evolution of the learning process with the igniting stimuli emanating from the peer group

Social networked learning

The augmentation of learning through social media constructs shall become more structured and much in vogue in the glocalised future. The hyper connectedness leading to real time information exchanges shall contribute hugely to the inquisitive minds. Where the past glorified the intellect of the few and the knowledge of the experts, the social media impact shall result in the influences of the many overwhelming the ideas of the few. With learning to think, learn, collaborate and regulate as the essentials; the collective expertise quotient shall be the dominant attribute of the knowledge economy.

Learning analytics

Sceptics might be perturbed by the information surfeit, but this very data shall become the harbinger of hope for many and contribute spectacularly to the learning process. The mining of rich data and its analysis shall contribute to rich insights for strategic decision making. From metadata on the learners characteristics, to the environment and, to the teaching-learning interplay; the exactitude of real-time flow of information shall excite, delight and reinvent the learning ecosystem.

A new beginning is presaged for the human civilization. A techno-cognitive future levelled by pervasive technology and emboldened by the networked ecosystem. A future marked by the annihilation of know-it-all experts, crumbling of classroom walls, surge of collaborative intellect and seamless evolution of the individual mind.

The magnificence of the future shall be defined by this exemplification –a brilliant metamorphosis of learning.
